Athletic Club 26/27 away shirt

Athletic Club’s away kit for the 26/27 season goes for a plain, understated black, with short raglan sleeves that draw a clean seam from the collar to the underarm. The collar is round, finished in red with a thin white piping, a detail repeated on the cuffs that adds a nod to the red-and-white colours. The club crest is embroidered on the right of the chest, with the technical brand on the other side and the sponsor centred in white on the dark background.

The Lions of Bilbao are living history of Spanish football: a club born on the banks of the estuary, loyal to its academy and to Lezama, with San Mamés, the Cathedral, as its temple. Their red-and-white stripes, their numerous Copas and the Basque rivalry with Real Sociedad are part of every fan’s imagination, and a black shirt like this one works as an elegant alternative to that red-and-white classic.

How to measure

The most reliable way is to measure a shirt you already own that fits you well. Lay it flat without stretching it:

• Chest: measure from armpit to armpit and multiply by two. Compare the result with the “Chest” column.
• Length: measure from the highest point of the shoulder, next to the collar, down to the hem.
• Kids: go by height; age is only a guide.
• Trainers: stand with your heel against a wall on a sheet of paper, mark the tip of your longest toe and measure the distance in centimetres.
