Celta de Vigo 26/27 away shirt

The Celta de Vigo away kit for the 26/27 season goes for a deep navy blue, an uncommon choice for the club that works very well as an alternative to the sky blue of the home kit. The shoulders carry cream-toned panels, outlined with red piping that runs along the armhole and down the sleeve, and the round collar is finished in light blue with an inner tape of Greek-key motifs. On the chest, the embroidered crest with the Cross of St James, the technical supplier’s mark on the left and the main sponsor centred.

The Vigo side, known as the célticos, was born in 1923 from the merger of Vigo Sporting and Real Fortuna, and plays at Balaídos, a stadium right by the estuary with one of the loudest fanbases in the north. Its rivalry with Deportivo in the Galician derby is part of the club’s identity, just like the sky blue that gave it its nickname.

How to measure

The most reliable way is to measure a shirt you already own that fits you well. Lay it flat without stretching it:

• Chest: measure from armpit to armpit and multiply by two. Compare the result with the “Chest” column.
• Length: measure from the highest point of the shoulder, next to the collar, down to the hem.
• Kids: go by height; age is only a guide.
• Trainers: stand with your heel against a wall on a sheet of paper, mark the tip of your longest toe and measure the distance in centimetres.
