Preston North End 26/27 home shirt

Preston North End’s home kit for the 26/27 season goes for a clean white, run through with a subtle engraved pattern of wavy lines that adds texture without breaking the sobriety of the whole. The collar is round, in navy with a yellow trim repeated on the cuffs, while the shoulders carry navy panels that frame the sleeves. The Paschal Lamb crest sits on the right chest and the brand logo, in blue, on the left, with the sponsor in red and orange lettering across the centre.

North End, from the city of Preston in Lancashire, play at Deepdale, one of the oldest football grounds in the world. They were the first champions of the Football League and won that inaugural double without losing a match, a feat that earned them the nickname “The Invincibles”, as well as adding two FA Cups to their trophy cabinet.

How to measure

The most reliable way is to measure a shirt you already own that fits you well. Lay it flat without stretching it:

• Chest: measure from armpit to armpit and multiply by two. Compare the result with the “Chest” column.
• Length: measure from the highest point of the shoulder, next to the collar, down to the hem.
• Kids: go by height; age is only a guide.
• Trainers: stand with your heel against a wall on a sheet of paper, mark the tip of your longest toe and measure the distance in centimetres.
