Vasco da Gama 26/27 training shirt

This Vasco da Gama 26/27 training shirt breaks with the predictable and goes for an intense green crossed by fine tone-on-tone vertical stripes, a textile effect that shows as the light catches it. The collar is a V-neck with golden yellow and white trim, the same detail that finishes the cuffs of the short sleeves. On the chest stands the stylised crest with the interlocked V and S, and beneath it a large “VASCO” wordmark in outlined letters with the legend “Rio de Janeiro · Brasil”. On the lower left hem sit the brand marks and the red cross, the club’s signature emblem.

Club de Regatas Vasco da Gama was born in Rio de Janeiro and carries a history tied to the Portuguese community, to the Cross of the Order of Christ and to São Januário, one of the oldest stadiums in Brazil. It is the club of the Admiral, a protagonist of the Rio derbies, with a record marked by the fight against discrimination in Brazilian football.

How to measure

The most reliable way is to measure a shirt you already own that fits you well. Lay it flat without stretching it:

• Chest: measure from armpit to armpit and multiply by two. Compare the result with the “Chest” column.
• Length: measure from the highest point of the shoulder, next to the collar, down to the hem.
• Kids: go by height; age is only a guide.
• Trainers: stand with your heel against a wall on a sheet of paper, mark the tip of your longest toe and measure the distance in centimetres.
