Newcastle United 26/27 home kit shirt

Newcastle United’s home kit for the 26/27 season brings back the classic black and white vertical stripes, reinterpreted here with an irregular line of changing widths that gives a modern feel to the age-old pattern. The collar is round in black, with a light blue trim that is repeated on the sleeve cuffs and on the shoulders, a touch of colour that breaks the contrast. On the chest, the club crest sits on the right and the main sponsor in a black box, with microperforated fabric visible in several areas.

The Magpies, from the north-east of England, play at St James’ Park, one of the most imposing and central stadiums in British football. Black and white has been their signature since the late 19th century, with several league titles and FA Cups in their history and a deeply felt rivalry with Sunderland in the Tyne and Wear derby.

How to measure

The most reliable way is to measure a shirt you already own that fits you well. Lay it flat without stretching it:

• Chest: measure from armpit to armpit and multiply by two. Compare the result with the “Chest” column.
• Length: measure from the highest point of the shoulder, next to the collar, down to the hem.
• Kids: go by height; age is only a guide.
• Trainers: stand with your heel against a wall on a sheet of paper, mark the tip of your longest toe and measure the distance in centimetres.
